Senior Digital Marketing Strategist
 

MGH (based in Hunt Valley, MD), a full-service marketing communications agency recognized as one of Ad Age’s 2019 and 2020 Best Places to Work, is currently seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist. This position is responsible for supporting the agency's paid digital efforts for clients of various sizes and industries, while providing innovative, digital media solutions and ensuring well planned and successful execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in shopping, paid search, video, display marketing, and Performance Max within Google Ads and Microsoft and will be highly analytical and can build ongoing trust and relationships with colleagues and clients.
 
What You’ll Do:

  • Manage client relationships and oversee the client media planning process from inception through final delivery which includes monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting
  • Build and present fully integrated digital media plans across relevant digital channels
  • Use data-driven strategies to regularly optimize campaigns and provide actionable insights
    • Keep up to date on all competitor and market trends
    • Offer on-going recommendations for A/B testing within campaigns
  • Perform analyses, develop ideas, and present in new business pitches
  • Work with the social media, creative, and interactive teams as well as Google Ads specialists and engineers to execute fully integrated campaigns
  • Build custom real-time data dashboards for clients that provide meaningful and actionable insights
  • Identify new paid opportunities for your clients, including new Google and Microsoft offerings as well as other digital media platforms

 
Required Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital media strategic planning/buying (specifically within the Google and Microsoft platforms) with experience on the advertising agency side
  • In-depth understanding of digital media planning, strategy, negotiation, and implementation, with an emphasis on paid search
  • Solid understanding and experience with website analytics (Universal and GA4), including managing the creation of dashboards (Google Data Studio, SEM Rush, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience working on e-comm accounts is a plus
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager is a plus
  • Knowledge of the technology & processes involved in running paid digital campaigns across multiple channels (ex. Google Ads, Microsoft Bing, Amazon, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, etc.)
  • Experience in measuring and proving the value of paid digital campaigns across channels and attribution among all channels
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with internal and external audiences
  • Google Ads certification preferred
